On behalf of the CHGA Board of Directors I want to invite you to join us on June 21st for an experience you're sure to enjoy.
For the 30th year you are invited to experience Celtic Culture at its best in Downtown Campbell. Come and enjoy the many flavors of Scotland including Pipe Bands, Highland & Scottish Country Dancers & Celtic entertainment. Scottish Heavy Athletics (including the Caber Toss) & traditional field athletics like Shinty and Rugby allow the spectator to cheer on their favorite athletes both male and female. If you want to find your Celtic Roots be sure to visit Clan Row where you can research your family background and maybe meet some long lost relatives or visit our living history area and request and audience with Her Majesty, Mary Queen of Scots. And what would a Highland Games be without Celtic food & drink or Craft Vendors where you can purchase a Kilt or beautiful Celtic jewelry.
Please join us on June 21 at the Campbell Community center from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm to meet old friends, make new ones & learn something new about yourself and others. Please explore our website for more information. And don't forget to come to the Kirkin of the Tartans on Sunday morning the 22nd at 10:00 am at the Presbyterian Church of Los Gatos. Come back to this site in the coming months for updates. Ticket prices at the gate are: $15.00 for adults, $10.00 for Seniors 60+ and Youths 8 – 18. Children 7 & under are free. Family paks are $30 (2 adults and children under 18). Advance tickets purchased via Pay Pal are $12 for adults & $8 for Seniors & Youths. Advance purchase tickets will be available via PayPal beginning May 1, 2008.
For those who don't know the Campbell Highland Games Association is a not-for-profit and the entire event is run by a small but hardy group of volunteers. We always have room for more. If you are interested in joining us please contact me at any of the emails below. We are looking for volunteers to help with the planning of our event as well as those who want to give a couple hours on the day of the games. Want to attend the games free? Volunteer for at least one 2-hour shift during Games Weekend.
